It gives us utmost delight in informing you that GHMC with the active participation of Government of Andhra Pradesh has been highly successful in shaping our city into an ideal destination for corporates, institutions, entrepreneurs, professionals and individuals. GHMC as a part of its city beautification program has envisaged raising about 8.00 lakh seedlings as Avenue, Open Space, Nalas and Tank-foreshore plantations before October 2008 ( of which, a total of 4.00 lakhs will be raised as Avenue Plantations with Tree guards)
In addition, development of new parks and adorning the existing ones with fountains, children’s play equipment, Furniture, dustbins etc., including their maintenance and a host of other innovative programs are on the anvil. All done to touch the lives of all age groups; to give children their right to healthy entertainment, to render senior citizens with peaceful getaways, to provide great escapes for the working class and spectacular sights to the nature lovers. Besides preserving the quality of environment by preventing soil erosion, contributing to rainfall and other associated objectives.
Realizing the significance of citizens’ support in this enormous effort of ours, we have decided to call upon all Business houses, Industries, Non-Governmental Organizations, Entrepreneurs and Individuals with a slant towards Corporate Social Responsibility to come forward and partner us in achieving this mission.
